Truly-free.org is a private operating foundation maintained and funded by an international network of volunteers and literary specialists. A community, we operate primarily as custodians of a collection of distributed documents. Our principal organ on the World Wide Web is The Burgomeister's Books and the associated discussion forum at burgomeister.org.
Shunning unlawful content, The Burgomeister's Books seeks to make our catalogue freely available to those with a legitimate need to consult texts by modern and contemporary authors, upholding a good faith belief that the volunteers sharing those texts have full rights & permissions in each work as authorized by the copyright holder, its agent, or the law.
Truly-free.org, via The Burgomeister's Books, thus functions as a brokerage center, enabling users to transmit targeted emails to listed volunteers. The library is not in itself a purveyor of documentary material procurable by patrons through the catalogue.
